Former Bruins Captain Takes Center Stage for Ceremonial PWHL Puck Drop
Tonight marks a historic moment at Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, as the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) debuts its first-ever game.
Former Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron, who retired from the NHL last spring, is notably present, adding prestige to the occasion. Despite his team's unexpected Round 1 playoff exit against the Florida Panthers, Bergeron continues to actively engage with the PWHL.
After playing a role in unveiling the new leadership group for the yet-to-be-named Boston franchise, Bergeron adds a personal touch by dropping the ceremonial puck.
Joined by his kids Victoria, Zach, and Noah, Bergeron elevates the significance of this historic event.
