Marc-Andre Fleury was a beloved goaltender when he was with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and even now that he plays for the Minnesota Wild, the fans still love him.
Tonight, Fleury will get to play against his former team in what should be an exciting matchup. Sure, the Wild and the Penguins are not expected to do much this year. However, when you have Fleury on the ice in Pittsburgh, you know that it is going to be something that will get the fans intrigued.
Prior to today's game, the Penguins sought to activate the nostalgia of Penguins fans everywhere. They did this by posting a montage that features some of Fleury's best pranks from when he was a member of the team. Fleury used to love pulling random pranks on his teammates, and that really shines through in the clip below.
If anything, this is going to immediately put a smile on your face. When it is all said and done, it would not be surprising if the Penguins decided to retire Fleury's jersey. He loved the franchise and the city so much. While it eventually had to come to an end, we're happy we got to see the height of it all.
Only time will tell how tonight's game goes. However, if there is one thing for certain, it is that some Penguins fans will secretly be hoping for Flower to get the win. It would definitely make a lot of people happy, especially in his final year in the NHL.
