Former Anaheim Ducks prospect Reggie Millette was just suspended indefinitely by the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

During a double-header against the Macon Mayhem on Friday and Saturday, Millette allegedly got into altercations with fans. On Friday night, he reportedly swung a stick at a fan. The next night, he reportedly had to be separated after exchanging words with some spectators.

An eye-witness on Twitter gave their account of the alleged incident:

"The SPHL needs to act on an incident that occurred after the Marksmen at the Mayhem game. Reggie Millette att*cked a fan with his stick as he left the ice Friday night. Saturday night team handlers had to get between him and the fans as he was sent off the ice Saturday night."

The team then put out a statement condemning Millette's alleged actions. It is unknown when he will be allowed to return to the ice. That said, an indefinite suspension is kind of harsh, and given the nature of it, we would not be shocked if Millette was done with the Marksmen moving forward.

Millette went undrafted but played for the Tulsa Oilers of the ECHL for 34 games. This is the affiliate for the Ducks, thus making him a prospect in a roundabout way. Either way, this probably isn't the punishment he was hoping for. Hopefully, this is a teachable moment for everyone involved.
