Maple Leafs Make A Massive Roster Change Just Moments Before Game
The Maple Leafs are seeking a boost tonight, and in addition to entrusting the net to Martin Jones, Coach Sheldon Keefe has sprung another surprise with a last-minute change in the lineup.
In an unexpected move, Toronto Maple Leafs Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has decided to scratch Nicholas Robertson for tonight's game. Reports suggest he's been placed on the trade block due to inconsistency, with occasional flashes of brilliance not frequent enough to secure a roster spot.
Keefe announced,
«Pontus Holmberg will come into the lineup as another change. Nick Robertson will be a scratch.» Stepping into the lineup is Pontus Holmberg, a solid choice for the Leafs' 4C position, as he demonstrated last year. With a budget-friendly profile, he brings a robust two-way game to the team.
The outcome of tonight's game remains to be seen with these lineup adjustments.
