The Vancouver Canucks clinched a spot in the second round last night, shutting out the Nashville Predators with a 1-0 victory. Following the game, Sportsnet's David Amber revealed that the start date for round two's opener is set for Tuesday, May 7th.

Sportsnet just mentioned Game 1 between the Oilers and Canucks is Tuesday night.
With the all-Canadian playoff series underway, NHL schedulers face a challenge in organizing games amidst venue conflicts, particularly with concert season in full swing for the summer.
Vancouver's home advantage in the upcoming series is tempered by scheduling conflicts, with Pearl Jam booked to perform on Saturday, May 4th, and Monday, May 6th. Consequently, game one has been pushed to Tuesday to accommodate.
Regardless of who wins on Friday between Vancouver and Nashville, early thoughts suggest round two series might not start until next Tuesday.

Vancouver has concerts booked Saturday and Monday, and if VAN wins Friday it would be rare to have them start next series on Sunday.
The impact of the extended break on the Edmonton Oilers remains uncertain. While it could provide valuable time to strategize against the Canucks, it also poses the risk of disrupting momentum. Nevertheless, the extra rest offers an opportunity for both teams to recover from any lingering injuries and recharge after a demanding end to the regular season and the first round of playoffs.
In the interim, both squads will be diligently analyzing game footage and studying each other's playing styles in preparation for what promises to be an intense series.
