Three ECHL Players Have Been Arrested After Very Serious Allegations
An ECHL scandal erupted Sunday night as three players from the Iowa Heartlanders were taken into police custody. Liam Coughlin, Nick Campoli, and Kevin McKernan now face charges following their arrest.
Reports indicate that the trio was arrested under the influence, facing various charges related to their intoxication and for resisting arrest.
«We are aware of the allegations; the players are going through the judicial process, and until that plays out, we have no further comment.»
In light of these events, the Heartlanders have suspended all three players pending further investigation. With just two games remaining in their season, it's unlikely that Coughlin, Campoli, and McKernan will return to the ice any time soon.
We'll keep you updated as more details emerge about their situation.
