Matthew Tkachuk and Brad Marchand had a spirited battle during the Stanley Cup Playoffs as the Boston Bruins played the Florida Panthers in the second round.

Overall, it was an incredibly chippy series in which the Panthers showed everyone what they can accomplish. The Panthers went on to go to the Stanley Cup Finals where they defeated the Edmonton Oilers. Their cup run is a big storyline in the new Amazon Prime series "Faceoff: Inside the NHL" and fans got to see some of the trash talk.

At one point, Tkachuk questioned Marchand's toughness after going down with an injury and it is pretty brutal.

" You all right? You all right? Never seen a captain quit on his team."

This is one of those chirps that is likely to anger a subset of the Boston Bruins fanbase. We say that because Bruins fans love their captain and they know just how tough he is. To question that toughness would certainly make for some fighting words.

As for the inciting incident, well, it all started when Marchand tried to hit Sam Bennett. He injured himself on the play, and it all led to this moment. Once again, it shows just how brutal and intense playoff hockey can be. The first time these two teams play each other this season will be a lot of fun.
