Keanu Reeves is one of the most beloved movie stars on the planet, and just like many kids who grew up in Canada, he played a whole lot of hockey.

In fact, Keanu Reeves was a goaltending prospect for the Ontario Hockey League back in the day. Of course, he ended up going into acting which put an end to his hockey career. However, today, he got to live out a lifelong dream by signing a one-day contract with the Windsor Spitfires.

If you are wondering why he did this, it is because he teamed up with the Spitfires on a fundraiser for the Canadian Mental Health Association. Reeves signed a bunch of items that are going to be auctioned off. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the CMHA. This is a wonderful initiative that will end up going a long way.

This is also a great time for fans who otherwise didn't know about Reeves' hockey career, to get educated. We're glad to see Reeves showing the OHL some love, and we're sure Spitfires fans will be pleasantly surprised by all of this.
