Hockey Canada has been sporting a black eye for over a year now. The 2018 World Junior Championship Canadian team has been investigated by the London police over an incident involving the assault of a young woman that took place at a hotel during that WJC tournament and are reportedly prepared to release their findings very shortly. After news of the scandal broke, many players used their agents or their legal representation to issue statements.

All of the players on the team who issued statements denied involvement or any wrongdoing in the matter. But this week, some news had broke that some of those players that denied any involvement are actually implicated in the investigation. Some reports have suggested that substantial suspensions may be handed out from the NHL as well.

NHL Insider Frank Seravalli provided the following update:

"There are some players who said they had nothing to do with this story and made an official statement or asked their agent to make one who are involved." - Frank Seravalli, Daily Faceoff

The names may be revealed any day now and it is believed that some outlets already have that list of names and are ready to report on it imminently. For obvious reasons and to protect players' reputations, we will not be speculating as to who may have been involved and will wait for the names to be released before providing any additional commentary.
