15 players set to become unrestricted free agents on Tuesday

For NHL teams the next important offseason date is August 15th. For teams the significance of the date is in regards to unsigned college players. These unsigned drafted players must sign by August 15th or else they become unrestricted free agents.

On Friday, CapFriendly revealed the list of 15 players that need to sign by the deadline or they'll become free agents on Tuesday. The most notable player on the list is John Farinacci, an Arizona Coyotes prospect who has been playing at Harvard University and also won gold with the United States at the 2021 World Junior Hockey Championship.

- Demetrios Koumontzis (Calgary)
- Kevin Wall (Carolina)
- Jake Wise (Chicago)
- Robbie Stucker (Columbus)
- Robert Mastrosimone (Detroit)
- Skyler Brind'Amour (Edmonton)
- Christian Krygier (New York Islanders)
- Jacob Pivonka (New York Islanders)
- Jakov Novak (Ottawa)
- Jonathan Tychonick (Ottawa)
- Jay O'Brien (Philadelphia)
- Arvid Henrikson (San Jose)
- Ryan O'Connell (Toronto)
- Jared Moe (Winnipeg)

Several players on the list above are signed to contracts for next season, but not to NHL deals. Skyler Brind'Amour, Christian Krygier, Jacob Pivonka, Jakov Novak and Jonathan Tychonick are on AHL deals for 2023-24, Robbie Stucker is signed in the ECHL, while Arvid Henriksson is set to play in Sweden.

Both John Farinacci and Jay O'Brien have already been told publicly they won't receive contract offers. Jay O'Brien, because he was a first-round pick back in 2018, the Philadelphia Flyers will receive a compensatory second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
