Metro Division team remains favourite to land William Nylander via trade
There has been rumors swirling all summer about Toronto Maple Leafs star William Nylander. It appears Nylander has been labeled as the odd man out in Toronto. Rumors have swirled that the Leafs are comfortable keeping Nylander as an own rental, but other rumors still have the Leafs shopping the forward.
According to Eklund of Hockeybuzz.com, the New York Islanders continue to be the front runners to land William Nylander.
While this report is vague, Eklund reports that the Islanders are very much the favourites to land the Leafs winger. Rumors have linked JG Pageau and Oliver Wahlstrom as part of a return package.
The fit for the Islanders is there as they need more of an offensive punch, but will the Leafs entertain it? That is the million dollar question.
