Teams are continuing to sort out their rosters ahead of training camps. For teams with new General Managers like the Pittsburgh Penguins that means also sorting out their front office. Since Kyle Dubas took over as President of Hockey Operations he has begun to mould the Penguins in his image.

Since accepting the job Dubas has announced multiple hirings including naming himself General Manager. Today Dubas announced that he'd hires a special advisor to join his staff. The Penguins made the announcement on their official Twitter account this morning.

The Penguins have named Doug Wilson as Senior Advisor of Hockey Operations.

In his role, Wilson will provide counsel, opinions, and expertise to hockey operations leadership on all matters including personnel decisions.

Wilson brings in a large amount of experience and can be a huge addition to the Penguins. However in the past Dubas has shown a resistance to outside voices.
