The Philadelphia Flyers have been very active today, spending over $50 million on contract renewals.

This morning, forward Owen Tippet received a $49.6 million extension across eight years, which was a well deserved contract.

Well, this afternoon, it was announced that center Ryan Poehling signed a 2-year, $3.8 million deal at $1.8 AAV.

Poehling, 25, could be another part of the Flyers future. Ryan was drafted 25th overall in the 2017 draft by the Montreal Canadiens. He was signed as a free agent by Philadelphia this off-season.

Poehlung has five goals and nine assists, tallying up to 14 points in 44 games. He is on pace to break his current point record of 17 he set with Montreal.

GM Danny Briere is having himself a day with two good signings. Fans hope he keeps it up for the trade deadline and the off-season to come.
