Jack Hughes didn't hold back last night after the New Jersey Devils secured a 3-1 victory against the Seattle Kraken.

Hughes Criticizes Goalies After Win

The Devils' forward didn't mince words when discussing his team's goaltending performance this season, stating,

"When we get the saves, it's much easier to win."

In a post-game interview, Hughes elaborated on his comments, praising goaltenders Nico Daws and Vitek Vanecek for their recent solid performances:

"Yeah, I think (Daws) played really well. Vitek played really well in Carolina. You get goaltending like that the last two games, it shows the results. He did a really good job tonight and we are happy with how he played."

The Devils have faced goaltending challenges throughout the season, with none of their netminders boasting a goals against average (GAA) under 3.15 and only one maintaining a save percentage (sv%) over .900.

Currently sitting 4th in the Metropolitan Division, tied in points with the New York Islanders, consistent goaltending could be the key to the Devils securing a playoff spot.
