The hockey world has been buzzing about the 'code' lately, especially following the Morgan Rielly incident on Saturday.

But there was another moment that flew under the radar: Detroit Red Wings defenseman Jake Walman's celebration after scoring to seal the game against the Vancouver Canucks on the same day.

According to the 32 Thoughts Podcast, Walman's celebration didn't sit well with some in the NHL, who believe there may be retaliation when the two teams meet again later this week. However, it seems the league has issued warnings to both teams regarding potential retaliation.

"Elliotte mentions both teams will probably be warned before the game this week since the Rielly incident happened."

Given that the Rielly incident, stemming from Ridly Greig breaking the code, occurred on Friday, it's expected that both teams will receive warnings before their upcoming game.

Whether retribution was actually planned for the rematch remains uncertain. However, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman appears determined to dismantle 'the code' in any way possible.
