Jacques Plante, Ken Dryden, and Patrick Roy are all goaltenders that Habs fans think about in regards to being legends of the sport. However, Price fits in there even if he didn't win a Stanley Cup. He was able to show people that he was the best in the world at one point. Moreover, he did win an Olympic Gold which is certainly worth something.
While his career is now over due to injuries, he is still making appearances in Montreal and making the fans as happy as possible. Below, you can see that Price was at an autograph signing event recently. It was here that he got to showcase love to the fans and take some pictures.
In the social media posts above, it is quite clear that Price and the fans in Montreal still have so much love and mutual respect for one another. While Price was never able to win the franchise a Stanley Cup, fans still have amazing memories of Price and everything that he accomplished with the franchise.
Winning Stanley Cups is not easy, and Price was never even given an 80-point scorer during his career. Had he been given some better teams, perhaps that Cup would have been his. However, he gave it his all and you have to appreciate that.
