Minnesota Wild star Marcus Foligno has a bone to pick with Garnet Hathaway following a disgusting play that occurred last night during the Philadelphia Flyers win.

As you can see down below, Hathaway decided to give an elbow to the nose of Joel Eriksson Ek, who has already been dealing with a pretty gnarly broken nose. It is one of those plays that is just absolutely ridiculous and you truly hate to see it at the end of a game like this.

As Foligno explains, he believes that Hathaway only does this stuff to stay relevant because otherwise, he would not have a job in the National Hockey League. It is a pretty damn harsh assessment, albeit one that a lot of other NHLers believe is 100 percent truthful.

Reporter Mark Scheig even noted that there are plenty of other guys around the National Hockey League who have said similar things about Hathaway in the past. At the end of the day, Hathaway is someone who remains in the league and has played over 500 games. The Flyers like his grit, and he is just one of those guys you hate to play against, but love to have on your side.

The Flyers and the Wild are two teams with quite a bit of promise this season. Although they are both longshots to actually win the Stanley Cup, fans are still intrigued by what they can do. The next time these two play each other, we do know the bad blood will be apparent.
