Overall, it has been stated that Blackhawks fans cannot watch their team play if they do not have access to cable. Various blackouts and inefficiencies of ESPN+ have created a less-than-stellar product. As a result, they must pay $80 per month for FuboTV just to see games that they may or may not have time to watch. Furthermore, this is a slap in the face when teams like the Dallas Stars have created partnerships that allow their fans to watch games for free.
Needless to say, there is a lot of inconsistency in which the way the league is doing things across all 32 teams.
While this is great for Stars fans, the Blackhawks faithful continue to be left with that awful $80 per month FuboTV subscription. Chicago Sports Network President Jason Coyle has tried to convince fans it is worth it, but that is a hard ask.
"Fubo continues to deliver more access for sports fans to watch their favorite teams, and they have made it clear that Chicago sports and their fans are an important part of that growth. As we continue to aim to be on every platform where our fans watch, we are excited about the opportunity the Fubo platform provides our fans through their flexible billing terms and availability everywhere."
