Los Angeles Kings leak New logo with goodbye post to PLD
If that wasn't confusing enough, the Los Angeles Kings may have revealed their new logo in a tweet thanking Pierre-Luc Dubois for his time in LA. Earlier today, the Kings dealt Dubois to the Washington Capitals in exchange for goaltender Darcy Kuemper.
The emblem that has previously been used on alternate jerseys was evident within the release of the tweet, which included a picture of Dubois and the words "THANK YOU" along the side.
Have a look:
However, the truth is that it's possible that someone in their communications department didn't do their due diligence and released the logo without even realizing what they were doing at the time. Some have pointed out since the leak that the new logo may have slight alterations to it.
Should someone accidentally have used a different template to thank Dubois on Twitter, would they face consequences for doing so, or are we just going to be caught off guard when the Kings eventually release their new branding, which includes their logo and jersey design?
Time will tell, so we'll just have to wait and see.
