Minnesota Wild and New Jersey Devils announce trade
The Minnesota Wild and the New Jersey Devils completed a deal on Friday morning announcing the exchange of restricted free agents.
The New Jersey Devils revealed via a social media post that they had acquired forward Adam Beckman from the Minnesota Wild in return for forward Graeme Clarke.
"The New Jersey Devils have acquired forward Adam Beckman in a trade with the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Graeme Clarke. The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald and Devils' Assistant General Manager/Utica Comets General Manager Dan MacKinnon." The Devils said.
This season, Beckman, 23, skated in 51 games for the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL), scoring 33 points (19 goals, 14 assists), logging 24 penalty minutes, and finishing the season with a minus-13. Clarke, 23, made his NHL debut this past season, appearing in four games for the Devils, but spent most of the season in the AHL with Utica, where he finished with 49 points (25 goals, 24 assists), 30 penalty minutes, and a plus-ten.
