Goaltender Linus Ullmark of the Boston Bruins is expected to be highly sought-after on the trade market in the upcoming days and weeks, and he has already been connected to a number of teams.

Because he has a 15-team no-trade list, Ullmark does have some choice over where he plays this summer. However, David Pagnotta reports that Ullmark will not waive his no-trade clause for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

David Pagnotta said in a piece on The Fourth Period that the Maple Leafs are not among the teams he is considering for Linus Ullmark because they are on his no-trade list.

Although two sources have informed Pagnotta that Ullmark is willing to waive it in order to travel to the nation's capital, Pagnotta noted that the Ottawa Senators, another Canadian team, are also on his no-trade list. Although the Senators are presently thought to be favorites, rumors have claimed that adding the Swedish goaltender might cost a package that includes Jakob Chychrun, a first-round pick, and another draft pick.

"The Leafs are not in the mix for Ullmark, though, as Toronto is on his no-trade list. Ottawa is also believed to be on his list, but two separate sources have told me he would accept a trade to the Senators if a deal between the two teams is finalized." Pagnotta said.

With Jacob Markstrom being dealt to New Jersey and the Maple Leafs not in the mix for Linus Ullmark, Toronto will need to turn their attention elsewhere for goaltending help. According to CapFriendly, Joseph Woll is the only goaltender under contract for the 2024-25 season as Ilya Samsonov, Martin Jones and Matt Murray are all set to hit the free agent market on Canada Day.

The 30-year-old Ullmark won the Vezina Trophy in 20222023 and has been among the finest goalies in the National Hockey League for the past few seasons. The native of Lugnvik, Sweden finished the season with a 22-10-7 record, a 2.55 goals against average, a.915 save percentage, and two shutouts in 40 games.

It's only a matter of time until the Boston Bruins trade Linus Ullmark and fully commit to Jeremy Swayman as their primary goalkeeper going forward, since the trade market is predicted to heat up even further when the Stanley Cup Final concludes.
