Buffalo Sabres trade big and mean Ilya Lyubushkin
Training Camps are set to start in in just over 3 weeks, and teams are trying hard to finalize their rosters. As is usually the case in August, teams turn away from the free agents and turn their focus to finalizing their rosters via trades. That's what the Anaheim Ducks did tonight.
In a late night trade the Anaheim Ducks and Buffalo Sabres completed a deal sending big tough defender Ilya Lyubushkin to the Anaheim Ducks.
Frank Seravalli broke the following deal:
Trade: #NHLDucks acquire D Ilya Lyubushkin.
To Anaheim: Ilya Lyubushkin
To #Sabres: 2025 4th Rd Pick (MIN)
Anaheim had previously acquired that pick at the 2023 trade deadline for John Klingberg.
