After being placed on waivers on Tuesday afternoon, Barclay Goodrow's tenure with the New York Rangers looks to be done, according to a recent report.

Barclay Goodrow spent three seasons with the New York Rangers before being placed on waivers. The team's goal is to free up contract space so that they can add players to their roster when the free agency window starts on Monday, July 1st at 12 p.m. ET.
The New York Post's Molly Walker claims that the Rangers have an arrangement in place for one of his former teams, the San Jose Sharks, to claim Barclay Goodrow off waivers on Wednesday afternoon.
"Though there is belief there is a pre-arranged deal for the Sharks to claim Goodrow, who spent the first six seasons of his NHL career in San Jose." Walker said.

The Toronto native played parts of his first six NHL seasons with the San Jose Sharks, having joined with them in March 2014 as an undrafted free agent. After San Jose advanced to the Western Conference Final in 2019 and he was traded to Tampa Bay, where he won two Stanley Cups, he played in twenty games during that season.
Goodrow, 31, made 80 appearances for the Rangers this season, tallying 12 points (eight goals and eight assists), logging 78 penalty minutes, and finishing with a minus-13 rating. In 16 Stanley Cup Playoff games, he added eight points (two goals, one assist) as the Rangers lost in the Eastern Conference Final.
It looks like Goodrow is returning to Northern California for a second term with the franchise that signed him as a free agency a little over 10 years ago, but we'll have to wait and see until the waiver news is revealed on Wednesday at 2 pm ET.
