Edmonton Oilers head coach opens up about that type of injury suffered by Connor McDavid
Yesterday the Edmonton Oilers took on the Winnipeg Jets in what ended up being a losing effort in overtime. Despite losing on the ice the Oilers now have bigger concerns off of it. Late in the 3rd period there was a notable absence of Connor McDavid firt the final minutes of the 3rd period and the entirety of overtime.
McDavid appeared to grab his left side when entering the offensive zone with under 5 minutes to go in the 3rd period before heading off to the bench in pain.
After the game Jay Woodcroft speculated TT injury appeared to be something muscular but there wasn't much of an update to go other than that as of yet.
«It appeared to be muscular... just to me as i watched during the play. we'll see. I'll have more information tomorrow."
For the Oilers they would hope that McDavid's injury is nothing serious as that would be nothing short of a catastrophic loss, but we'll have to wait and see if the Oilers provide further comment on a timeline.
