After spending the last two seasons playing in the KHL and AHL, the 35 year old veteran Artem Anisimov is making a bid for a return to the NHLZ

Announced by CapFriendly, Anisimov signed a professional tryout offer with the Detroit Red Wings earlier this week, and will report to the team in the coming days for training camp and eventually suiting up for preseason games.

Anisimov, who has played 771 career NHL games, has spent his 13 year career in the league as a journeyman. Anisimov has had stints with the New York Rangers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks, and Ottawa Senators. Over the course of his career, he's tallied up 376 points (180 goals, 196 assists).

This year will mark Anisimov's third attempt to once again crack an NHL roster on a professional tryout. In the last two seasons, he's signed unsuccessful offers with the Colorado Avalanche and Philadelphia Flyers, which led to his playing time in the KHL and with the Leigh Valley Phantoms respectively. In 55 games last season with the Flyers' AHL team, Anisimov recorded 36 points in 55 games.
