Chicago Blackhawks get bad news about the health of Taylor Hall
The Chicago Blackhawks played on back to back nights to begin the season. After beating the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night, the team traveled to Boston to face the Boston Bruins. The Bruins beat the Blackhawks 3-1, but even more concerning was the loss of Taylor Hall.
In the 2nd period, as the Blackhawks tried to clear the zone Taylor Hall was on receiving end of a big hit by Brandon Carlo. The hit sent Hall to the ice and he left the game and did not return.
After the game Hawks coach Luke Richardson had the following to say.
That's a blindside hit. That's a guy coming across the ice, for sure. That's what the game is trying to get rid of. I know exactly what it is because I used to do it all the time. But now it's not in the game.
While it was initially expected that Taylor Hall was just shaking up and likely wouldn't miss time after the game, Richardson also confirmed that not to be true.
With Hall out long-term things will get even tougher for Connor Bedard as he'll be forced to carry more of the load offensively.
