Arizona Coyotes prospect demands a trade, claims he sees no future with the team
More trouble in Arizona, after news surfaced the John Farinacci had previously lied to the team, new reports are surfacing that another player wants out. According to NHL Insider, Craig Morgan, Coyotes' prospect Jan Jenik no longer wants to be part of the franchise.
Jenik, 22, is reportedly looking for a fresh start with a new organization. Jenik is hoping for this fresh start, despite being an unproven restricted free agent. Jenik reportedly decline to sign his qualifying offer and his agent Allan Walsh has stated that Jenik has offers to play in Europe, but would prefer a trade to another team to continue his career in North America.
In his career Jenik has scored 4 goals and 5 points in 17 games. He was drafted by the team in 3rd round of the 2018 draft.
This is another poor look for the Coyotes organization, who don't need any bad press. It once again seems the Coyotes mismanaged the situation, and will find themselves down another prospect who sees no future for themselves in Arizona.
