The NHL season hasn't even started and the Anaheim Ducks are dealing with injury troubles. The Ducks have announced that 2018 1st round pick Isac Lundestrom will miss at least six months after suffering an Achilles injury.

Lundestrom suffered the Achilles injury during offseason training and was forced to undergo surgery. The current timeline is at least six months, meaning Lundstrom could return to the Ducks lineup in early-Feburary.
"NEWS: Forward Isac Lundestrom suffered an Achilles injury during his offseason training and has undergone surgery.

The expected recovery time is approximately six months."
The 23-year-old played in 61 games last season, he scored 14 points (four goals, ten assists), two penalty minutes and was a minus-13.
Lundestrom's injury opens up a spot at center for the Ducks and that could go to 2023 second overall pick Leo Carlsson, depending on how he performs during training camp. There's little doubt that Carlsson should make the team out of camp and will likely play nine NHL games, before the Ducks make a decision on where he'll play the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
