Massive fan brawls that ensued following a pivotal game 6 would not be an Edmonton Oilers playoff game, but that is just how it has always happened.

The Florida Panthers were defeated 5-1 by the Edmonton Oilers to force a game seven, but it wasn't only the players competing for a postseason spot that was at stake. What truly got everyone hyped was what transpired in Edmonton's streets following the game.

As per the X account, YEG Wave After the Oilers won game six in Edmonton, at least three fan fights started, and boy, did these fights end swiftly and decisively.

The ugly from last night 🥊#LetsGoOilers

It defies logic that this occurs following each and every Edmonton Oilers playoff game, regardless of the venue. You would think that if your team were one win away from winning the Stanley Cup, everyone would be content and not constantly want to fight, but it appears like there are fights in Edmonton, Alberta, no matter what.

If past performance is any guide, Monday night's game between the Oilers and their opponents promises to be an epic one. In Edmonton, at least, nobody can claim that a high-stakes hockey game is dull.
