Brad Marchand Celebrates His 1000th Game With A Spirited Bout Against Dallas
Monday marked a special milestone for Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand as he celebrated 1,000 games with the organization, and he made sure to mark the occasion in style.
In the midst of a tight 1-1 match against the Dallas Stars, Marchand engaged in a spirited bout with veteran defenseman Joel Henley during the first period, much to the delight of the TD Garden faithful.

Though neither landed significant punches, Marchand seized control with a decisive takedown that sent the Boston crowd into a frenzy.
In his 1,002 games with the Bruins, Marchand has notched an impressive 315 goals and 912 points. However, he's also gained a reputation as an agitator, earning the moniker "the rat" in the NHL for his knack for getting under opponents' skin.
While rival players may despise him, Marchand is adored by Boston fans and his teammates alike. With the captain's "C" proudly on his chest, he's determined to lead the Bruins to their second Stanley Cup during his tenure with the team.
