William Nylander of the Toronto Maple Leafs suffered an injury of sorts last night while playing against the Montreal Canadiens.

As we previously reported, Nylander was skating for the puck when he was pushed by his teammate Nick Robertson. Nylander ended up falling over and was kneed in the head by a Habs player. It was an accident, but many fans are livid with Robertson who showed no effort or care in the world on the play. Overall, it was just a really bad look that fans have been in disbelief of.
Thankfully, the Maple Leafs got some good news after the game. During a press conference, Craig Berube confirmed that Nylander is going to be okay. Essentially, they took him out of the game purely as a precaution. They didn't want to risk his health any more than it already had been.
This is obviously a great sign for the Maple Leafs. However, they now have to figure out what is up with Nick Robertson. The kid has been an issue this summer and last night, he almost got a star player's head taken off. These are not good looks and it isn't a stretch to believe that something could happen soon in terms of consequences. After all, the team did want to trade Robertson during the summer, but could not find a suitor.
Do you believe that Nylander can have himself another career season? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to HockeyUplugged for the latest news and updates from around the hockey world. We will continue to keep you informed on all of your favorite players and teams around the NHL.
