Craig Berube is looking to be the head coach that the Toronto Maple Leafs always needed.

Last season, the team lost another series in the first round of the NHL playoffs. This had fans angry, and now, Sheldon Keefe is out and Berube is in. Fans are praying that this is going to bring forth a new mentality to this franchise. While it might not be the case, there are those who think things are truly different this time around.
Perhaps the best example that the tides are changing came last night as the Leafs took on the Los Angeles Kings. Despite being up 5-2, Craig Berube called a timeout because he was angry with how the team was performing. He didn't feel like they were living up to their standard, and he made that crystal clear.
"Let's go to work. Gain the offensive zone and go to f--king work...Let's wake the f--k up."

It might be harsh, but sometimes, your players need to hear it. Not to mention, these are grown men who can take the criticism. If they can't take the criticism, then they simply should not even be in the National Hockey League. That said, the team did take it well and they eventually went on to win the game. Now, the Leafs are rolling, and fans really believe this could be their year to finally win it all.
