A forward who is 28 years old was placed on unconditional waivers by the Sharks following more than a week of inactivity on the waiver wire.

The San Jose Sharks have put forward Nathan Todd on unconditional waivers in order to finish the last year of his two-year contract that he signed last summer, according to CapFriendly.

"The #SJSharks have placed F Nathan Todd on unconditional waivers for the purpose of contract termination." CapFriendly said.

Todd played the whole season for the San Jose Barracuda, the Sharks' American Hockey League club, and did not appear in a single National Hockey League game this season, with the exception of preseason games.

Todd recorded 10 penalty minutes, 19 goals, 36 assists, and a minus-two rating in 69 games with the Barracuda.

Nathan Todd can sign with any of the 31 other National Hockey League teams as an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday if he clears unconditional waivers at 2:00 PM ET.
