Sidney Crosby just played one of his worst games ever
At this stage of his career, there is no denying that Sidney Crosby has pretty well accomplished it all, and there is no one who would say otherwise.
However, just like any other player in the NHL, he has the ability to have some pretty bad games every once in a while. For instance, last night against the Carolina Hurricanes, Crosby finished the match with 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, and didn't even have a single shot on goal.
Moreover, when it comes down to the advanced stats, it seems as though he had the worst game of his career in those categories as well. Needless to say, not the kind of night that he and all of the other Pens fans were hoping for. In the end, the Penguins lost the game by a score of 4-1 and the loss was very well deserved.
"Crosby finished with a 19.35 Corsi For percentage tonight, the first time IN HIS CAREER he's been under 20%, according to @NatStatTrick
Also, in the last three seasons, his two worst Corsi For games were against ... the Hurricanes."
Where you care for advanced statistics or not, there is no denying that Crosby had himself a terrible outing. But at the end of the day, this is just one game out of over 1000. Crosby has had plenty of amazing moments and no on will ever fault him for having one immense stinker of a game.
