NHL refs under immense scrutiny after horrible missed call

As you can see down below, the Avalanche and the Ducks played against each other last night. The Avalanche ended up winning overtime and god knows that was a win that they absolutely needed, all things considered. Having said that, there was one moment in the game that fans are obsessing over.

In the clip below, you can see the Ducks clearly send the puck out of bounds. This should have been a stoppage in play. However, the game kept going and the Ducks scored later.

Ryan Strome's goal put the Ducks up by a score of 2-0. This could have been absolutely disastrous for the Avalanche, especially since they had to mount a comeback just to win. We can only imagine the helplessness and frustration that Avs fans and even players were feeling. It is a feeling that every NHL fan has felt at some point in their life.

The NHL is definitely going to need to take a look at this. We've known for years that the officials throughout the league are not the best, and this definitely confirmed that to be the case. Hopefully, they get it together and get a whole lot better in the future.
