NHL agrees to reinstates Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman
Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman are now officially allowed to pursue NHL jobs after serving more than two years of suspension from the league.
Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman were both given indefinite NHL suspensions after being linked to the Kyle Beach controversy. The league decided that both men would have to participate in rehabilitation programs as a condition of their suspension.
The NHL still refused to let either man return to the league after he finished his original job, but it now seems that they have decided to allow both individuals to be reinstated. This coincides with speculation connecting Stan Bowman to the open general manager position with the Edmonton Oilers.
The National Hockey League today announced that, effective immediately, Stan Bowman, Al Maclsaac and Joel Quenneville are eligible to seek employment in the NHL. For more than the last two and a half years, these individuals have been ineligible to work for any NHL team as a result of their inadequate response upon being informed in 2010 of allegations that Blackhawks' Player, Kyle Beach, had been assaulted by the Club's video coach.
