Today the hockey world is focused on Jonathan Toews, after the former Blackhawks captain announced he was going to miss all of next season. On the same day that Toews made this announcement, a source close to Patrick Kane has reportedly revealed that the winger already knows where he plans on playing next season.
Kane was drafted and developed by the Chicago Blackhawks, where he played his entire career until being traded to the New York Rangers at last year's Trade Deadline. Earlier this summer Kane underwent hip surgery to help fix an issue he'd been battling for years. The surgery has been referred to as a success and should see Kane return as early as December.
This year Kane has been connected to the Dallas Stars, Buffalo Sabres, Edmonton Oilers and even the Toronto Maple Leafs. It will be interesting to see which team Kane ultimately decides gives him the best opportunity to win another Stanley Cup.
