Since the announcement of the Hockey Canada and London Police investigation to the 2018 team, Hockey Canada has been mired in controversy. Now after months of waiting it appears the NHL finally has the information needed to proceed with issuing of punishments from the event.

Rick Westhead of TSN, shared that on March 27th that The Canadian Heritage Committee voted unanimously for Hockey Canada to hand over all legal documents pertaining to their investigation.

This comes just months after London police investigators shared that they felt they had "reasonable grounds" to believe that 4 members of the Team Canada had committed a crime.

Yesterday, reporter and co-host of the Cam and Strick podcast Andy Strickland shared the following information:

Andy Strickland on Cam and Strick today said it's likely «5 players» will be facing NHL suspensions for their involvement in the 2018 WJC assault scandal. Said he knows the names but won't say them now.

«Some significant names» 👀

It appears like the investigation is heading for a conclusion with five players facing punishment serious consequences. One thing is for sure though, this story is long for over.
