Major insider reveals when and where Patrick Kane will sign
Training camps will open up in just a few weeks and General Managers around the league are attempting to finalize their teams before everyone returns from the summer break. Rumors have been swirling about the future of Patrick Kane and where and when he will sign.
Arthur Staple of the Athletic predicts a Rangers reunion with Kane sometime in November.
Kane, 35, is recovering from offseason hip surgery and won't be fully recovered for a few months. Playing hurt last season Kane put up 5 goals and 12 points in 19 regular season games after being dealt to the Rangers. He also added 1 goal and 6 points in the Rangers seven game series against the New Jersey Devils.
Kane turns 35 this November, making his next deal important. After his birthday Kane becomes eligible for bonus filled 35+ contracts, which include performance bonuses. This would allow teams to pay Kane a league minimum salary and structure the contract to float over to next season. Making a deal very appealing to some cap strapped teams.
