Connor McDavid makes serious demands of his teammates
Connor McDavid is without question the best player in the world. McDavid has won almost every single regular season award possible. Unfortunately, for the Edmonton Oilers his individual success hasn't translated into playoff success yet. For the Oilers this season may be different as it appears McDavid is more focused than ever.
According to Marc Spector of Sportsnet, McDavid is already setting the expectation that the rest of his Oiler teammates be apart of an early start to the season. McDavid has informed all members of the team they're expected there for his captain skates on September 5th.
While the Oilers have been steadily improving since McDavid's arrival, they haven't been able to make it to the Stanley Cup. This has become a sore spot for McDavid as his competitive fire runs deep.
Making sure his team is more organized and more prepared should lead to much more success this season. This approach is definitely a good thing for the Edmonton Oilers and it proves that McDavid wants to win above all else, something that Oilers fans should be really excited about.
