Coach suspended for a MINIMUM of two years after he's found to have violated policy

Last week the Western Hockey League announced they had suspended Wenatchee Wild Head Coach Kevin Constantine. The initial suspension was to only last until an internal investigation could be completed into the alleged claims against the coach.

Today the WHL announced that they had completed their investigation and found that Constantine had in fact committed a violation of the league's policies and will be further suspended.
"The WHL holds our players and staff to a very high standard of conduct at all times,» commented WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. «We have extensive programming which emphasizes the importance of always treating players and staff in a respectful manner and there is a zero tolerance for any comments of a derogatory nature. Those in leadership capacities in the WHL, in particular our Head Coaches, are expected to set examples for our players and not conduct themselves in a manner that would impact adversely on the team environment or inflict damage on the reputation of the League.»

The league provided the following update:
The WHL announced today Wenatchee Wild Head Coach Kevin Constantine has been suspended indefinitely, after it was determined through an independent investigation he violated the WHL Standard of Conduct policies.
Constantine was found to have made derogatory comments of a discriminatory nature. The league announced that Constantine will not be eligible to apply for reinstatement until July 2025 at the earliest.
This will likely mark the end of Constantine's North American coaching career.
