Another San Jose Sharks forward is considering asking for a trade
Every player who enters the NHL has the same dream, and that's winning the Stanley Cup. While players want to be loyal to their team, when years of losing pile up players often begin to prioritize winning over anything else. Just weeks after trading Erik Karlsson it now appears that another player has decided he may want out.
San Jose Sharks' Captain, Logan Couture sniffed the Stanley Cup final in 2016, but hasn't come close since. Couture has 4 years left on his current deal, but seems very interested in prioritizing winning.
I would love to finish my career in San Jose, but I also want to play meaningful hockey games.
Couture's commitment to the Sharks is admirable, he's seen many teammates come and go and ultimately be successful elsewhere. The window for Couture is closing quickly and if the right situation comes along both the franchise and the player would be crazy not to at least consider a change of scenery.
If the rebuild in San Jose doesn't pickup steam it appears Couture could put pressure on the franchise to help find him a winning situation.
