Insane Goalie Brawl Erupts During Final Seconds Of Game
Sunday's ECHL match took an unexpected turn when goalies Michael McNiven of the Savannah Ghost Pirates and Cam Johnson of the Florida Everblades engaged in a surprising brawl with only 2.7 seconds left in the game.
The rare showdown between McNiven, a former Montreal Canadiens prospect, and Johnson unfolded in a spirited and somewhat comical manner, considering the challenges posed by their substantial goaltending equipment. Despite the hindrances, both goalies showed genuine effort in their unexpected tussle.
Officials allowed the peculiar altercation to unfold for almost 30 seconds before Johnson successfully brought McNiven down to the ice, concluding this highly unusual episode in ECHL history.
