Washington Capitals Star Forward Will Be Stepping Away From The NHL Indefinitely

The NHL and NHLPA dropped some unexpected news today regarding one of the Washington Capitals star forwards. Evgeny Kuznetsov will be stepping away from the team to seek treatment in the NHLPA Players Assistance Program.

Capitals Forward Evgeny Kuznetsov Enters Players Assistance Program

In a joint announcement, the NHL and NHLPA disclosed that Evgeny Kuznetsov will be taking a leave of absence from the Washington Capitals to participate in the Players' Assistance Program.

"The National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players' Association announced today that forward Evgeny Kuznetsov of the Washington Capitals will be unavailable to his Club for an indefinite period while he receives care from the Player Assistance Program of the NHLPA and NHL. Under the terms of the joint program, he will return to the Club when cleared for on-ice competition by the program administrators."

Kuznetsov's absence from the lineup is expected to continue until further notice as he undergoes treatment. Our thoughts are with him as he embarks on this journey towards healing and recovery, and we look forward to seeing him back on the ice soon, captivating fans with his electrifying play.
