The Toronto Maple Leafs, once again ousted early from the playoffs, have decided it's time for a change at the top. Today, Head Coach Sheldon Keefe was dismissed, and it looks like the Leafs didn't waste any time lining up his successor.

There are strong indications that the Leafs have already zeroed in on a new head coach. A source close to the team mentioned a verbal agreement is already in place with the chosen candidate.
Biz, circle back on the Berube to NJ rumours. Berube played junior hockey in a small town where I'm from, he has told all his buddies here he's going to TOR confirmed. Word has been going around town for the last few days.
Rumors are swirling that Craig Berube, known for guiding the St. Louis Blues to a Stanley Cup victory in 2019, is the frontrunner for the position. These rumors come second-hand through connections claiming to be close to Berube, so while intriguing, they're to be taken with a grain of salt.
You will see. Leafs are going to give a week or so. But there has already been a verbal agreement. Details and structure of contract are not done yet. I'm being dead serious.
Critics wonder if Berube's tough, no-nonsense approach is what the Leafs need. It's all still up in the air, but if this report holds true, we might soon see Berube behind the Maple Leafs' bench, bringing a new direction to the team.
