Joseph Woll has been injured over the last few weeks and it forced the Toronto Maple Leafs to play Anthony Stolarz and Dennis Hildeby. Now, Craig Berube has a huge update.

According to Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman, it has been 100 percent confirmed by Berube that it will be Woll getting the start tonight. He is officially healthy and he will get to help the Leafs as they take on a hungry St. Louis Blues team. Having said that, Woll may find himself with a bit of rust when you consider how he has been out of the lineup this whole time.

No matter what, this is going to delight fans of the Maple Leafs. Sure, Stolarz and Hildeby have been fine, but the team knows that Woll is the real starter here. Hopefully, he can recapture some of the magic from last season.

The Leafs are off to a pretty hot start this season. Despite some disappointing losses to the Montreal Canadiens and even the New York Rangers, there is no denying that this Leafs team is going to be a championship contender.

Goaltending has seemingly been their Achilles heel over the past few seasons, especially come playoff time. But the team is very clearly excited about Woll and the potential he has. This is a team that wants a Stanley Cup and Woll has the potential to give it to them.
