Sheldon Keefe Shares His Opinion On the Liljegren & Marchand Situation
Sheldon Keefe, head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, didn't mince words when expressing his dissatisfaction with his team's lack of physical response following an incident involving Brad Marchand and Timothy Liljegren.
Keefe's Strong Opinion
"I hated everything about it," Keefe declared.
The incident that drew Keefe's ire occurred during the first period of Thursday night's game. Brad Marchand's altercation with Leafs' defenseman Timothy Liljegren left many observers questioning the lack of a response from the Maple Leafs.
In the tussle, Marchand's stick appeared to become entangled between Liljegren's legs, causing Liljegren to crash headfirst onto the ice. Surprisingly, none of the Maple Leafs players stood up for their fallen teammate.
Keefe's statement highlights his frustration with the team's inability to protect their players and respond appropriately to such incidents, emphasizing the need for a stronger physical presence on the ice.
