Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving Reaches Final Verdict On Ilya Samsonov
The Toronto Maple Leafs, along with GM Brad Treliving, have wrapped up their decision on goaltender Ilya Samsonov, opting to bring him back up to the NHL.
In a recent announcement, the Maple Leafs shared,
The @MapleLeafs have recalled G Ilya Samsonov from the @TorontoMarlies. G Dennis Hildeby has been loaned to the Marlies. In light of this development, Dennis Hildeby was sent down to the AHL, having not seen any game time with the Leafs.
While Samsonov's performance this season hasn't been stellar, there's optimism that his time in the AHL will serve as a confidence booster.
