New York Rangers Chris Kreider Gets Robbed Of His 300th NHL Goal
New York Rangers forward Chris Kreider thought he hit a career milestone, but things took a funny turn when his goal was disallowed.
During Saturday's game against the Arizona Coyotes, Kreider netted what he believed to be his 300th NHL goal, putting the Rangers ahead 4-2 in the second period. His teammates even retrieved the puck for him to commemorate the moment.
However, the goal was reviewed after a Coyotes challenge for offside, and it was determined to be invalid. Kreider humorously tossed the puck back onto the ice in response.
"Chris Kreider's 300th career goal was disallowed so naturally he threw the puck back onto the ice 😭"
Nevertheless, Kreider quickly bounced back, scoring another goal shortly after, which counted as his official 300th NHL tally in his 807th game.
Over the past few seasons, Kreider has shown improvement as a goal scorer, with impressive numbers of 52, 36, and currently 35 goals. The Rangers will rely on him, along with other key players, to perform at their best for a successful run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year.
