BREAKING: NHL Insider Reveals That Jonathan Quick Signed Contract Extension
NHL veteran Jonathan Quick made a bold move this season by taking on a backup role with the New York Rangers, the team he's always cheered for. And it looks like that decision might just pay off big time for him.
Quick has been on fire with the Rangers this season, putting up some of his best stats in years. With a 2.45 goals against average and a .916 save percentage over 21 games, he's proving that he's still got what it takes to be a top-notch NHL goalie. Not only has the move to New York rejuvenated Quick's career, but it's also lining his pockets quite nicely.
While there hasn't been an official announcement yet, NHL insider Kevin Weekes is reporting that Quick and the Rangers have decided to keep their partnership going with a new contract.
"I'm told Jonathan Quick is signing a contract extension with the New York Rangers, I believe it's one year, but Jonathan Quick is signing a contract extension with... the New York Rangers," said Weekes confidently.
Bally Sports' Andy Strickland is also chiming in, confirming that Quick's extension will come with a slight raise compared to his current deal.
